I have a confession to make… it took me a long time to try the Seafood Shack because I judged it by its cover. By simply walking by, I had decided it was a theme restaurant that advertised an authentic local experience but was really peddling homogenous chain restaurant flavor.

My bad, guys… my bad.

I have been converted… and I’m here to preach the good news that Seafood Shack is an authentic local experience and these flavors are too good to miss!

Go immediately and order the Low Country Boil, which consists of shrimp, corn on the cob, beef sausage, and red potatoes. This is all seasoned with garlic butter, house Cajun seasoning, and joy.

Bring friends, order a pitcher of beer, and enjoy the budget-friendly menu. No visit to Savannah is complete without this experience!

Insider Tips:

(1) For a few extra dollars, the kitchen will peel and de-vein your shrimp for you. It’s worth every penny and there will be no lack of flavor.

(2) Claiming a table before you’ve ordered from the counter is a party foul if it’s busy. Someone will help you find a table once you have a number.
