Unity in the Community Arts & Crafts Fair
Updated: May 27, 2019
Once a month from March through December the Savannah Riverfront Plaza plays hosts to a delightful arts and crafts fair. The official name is the Unity in the Community Arts & Crafts Fair, meant to promote unity and cultural diversity, and every month has a different theme.
Artists of all kinds gather to mingle with the community and sell their wares – sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewelry, woodworking, digital art, paintings, drawings, and more. Need a new piece for your coffee to table to spark conversation? Want one-of-a-kind jewelry? Maybe you enjoy shopping while being able to smell BBQ. Maybe you just need to get the kids out of the house! All are reasons to head to the Arts & Crafts Festival. But it’s not just art-art. There are food booths set up to make sure your saliva glands are working while you parooze, live music, and even a mechanical bull ride to keep things lively.
Admission to the fair is free – just walk on down to the riverfront and stroll amongst the local artists, food, and live music.
Insider tip: The wares at some booths are rather tourist-trappy, but press on because many booths offer unique and high quality products.
