See & Do
Below is a list of our favorites in the Historic District, which are all within walking distance.
Life is a little slower in Savannah; don’t rush or you might miss the best parts!
Navigation tip: Bull St. runs north-south and house numbers indicate how many blocks away they are from Bull. For example, 102 W Broughton is one block west of Bull and 201 E Jones is two blocks east of Bull.
Tours (Reservations Strongly Recommended)
Genteel & Bard: Run by our friends TC and Brenna, we recommend starting your trip with their history tour to give you an excellent overview of the city and its history. Also try the ghost tour, if you dare!
Savannah Morons: A comedy trolley tour for adults. ‘As informative as it is funny!’
Savannah Taste Experience: Eat your way across downtown Savannah and learn about its history as you go.
Footprints: Walk through Savannah's History along forgotten footpaths of the city. This tour covers the story of urban slavery, the slave trade, and the Cotton trade in Savannah.
Savannah Sip n’ Shop: Wind your way through a 3-hour guided walking tour of downtown Savannah's characteristic squares while sipping wine and shopping from the city's finest boutiques

All 22 squares: You will find a small park every other block in the Historic District, called Squares. Each has its own beauty and history, so find your fave! Then soak it all in with a friend, a snack, and a drink.
Jones St.: The most beautiful street in America? Judge for yourself. Best enjoyed as a slow stroll.
Forsyth Park: The Central Park of Savannah. Room to roam. Its fountain is the most photographed location in Savannah.
Cathedral of St. John the Baptist: An excellent example of French Gothic architecture. Elegantly restored, the church is regularly called "breathtaking" and "amazing"!
River St.: Admittedly, River St. can be a tourist trap, but the view makes up for it. We enjoy a morning stroll along the river with a coffee.
Pounce Café (Reservations Recommended) – Admission gets you a drink and an hour to sit and play with adoptable cats through the Savannah Humane Society. A great way to relax and support a great cause (over 1900 adoptions!).
